  • Fund Raiser - Sold ads for the Blue-Gray Horse Show.
  • Proclamation Signed by Bluefield Mayor Nelson Walker for Federation Day.
  • Celebrated the 20th year anniversary of the Bluewell Woman's Club with a reception.
  • Design of a web site for the club to promote awareness and preserve the history of the club. (The FIRST West Virginia Woman's Club listed on the National GFWC website.)
  • Collected vitamins for the Well Baby Clinic
  • Betty Wellman was awarded "First Place" for her afghan at the Southern District Conference.
  • Participated in decorating the Christmas tree at the Bluefield Arts & Science Center for December 2000
  • Participated in the Operaton Christmas Child for Christmas 2000
  • Donated books to the War Public Library
  • Fund Raiser - Sold boxes of Valentine candies
  • Held a Penny Drive for Special Olympics
  • Collected suitcases for kids
  • Made comfort pillows to be given to the American Cancer Society
  • Co-hosted with the Bluewell Lions Club a dinner meeting with the guest speaker, The Honorable Truman Chaffin, West Virginia State Senator
  • A display was placed at the Bluewell First Community Bank on Federation Day
  • Awards received at the 2001 Convention:
      Honor Club, Superior Club, Gold Seal - Libraries 2000, First Place - GFWC Clubwoman Subscription, Second Place Outstanding Achievement in Fund Raising, Third Place Best Overall in Fund Raising, Acknowledgement for Contribution to the 1734 Socity, Certificate from CARE, and a cup from HOBY. Betty Wellman won First Place for her afghan.
  • Awarded two $500 scholarships to Christy Quillian and Ashley Musick
  • Fund Raiser - Garage Sale
  • Fund Raiser - Sold Uncle Al's
  • Participated in decorating the Christmas tree at the Bluefield Arts & Science Center for December 2001
  • Participated in the Operaton Christmas Child for Christmas 2001
  • Participated in the Bluewell Christmas Parade with a float using the theme Carols of Christmas
  • Betty Wellman received the Purple Heart at the Southern District Meeting.
  • June Onifer won Second Place for her quilt at the Southern District Meeting.
