- Gave an Educational Scholarship to a student from Bluefield High School who attended Bluefield State College.
- Had a Hatfield and McCoy Picnic for the Memorial Gardens at Jackson Mills.
- Finished the triangle at the Lorton Lick/Rt 52 intersection (shrubery and tulips were planted).
- Had an International Dinner with members bringing food from many countries.
- Sold Shell jewelry, Lincoln House products, cookbooks, safety road flares, and WV photo books.
- Made goody trays during American Education Week for Bluewell, Brushfork, Bramwell and Wade Elementary Schools.
- Ordered materials to start the Reading "Seedling" Program in the Bramwell and Brushfork Elementary Schools.
- Worked the Telerama, helped with the Special Olympics, Bowling Tournament and the Mercer County Special Olympics meet at Concord College. We helped canvas the area for the Heart and Cancer Drive. Several members walked in the Cancer Walk-A-Thon.
- Served the fireman, when the Christmas lights were put up, and donated cookies for our annual Christmas Tree Party.
- Had a hot dog and bake sale.
- Participated in a Bazaar selling baked items and handicrafts.
- Made donations to the Pearl Buck home and sent handicrafts to be sold in the gift shop.
